Depping & Projects

During my time playing drums I have had the great pleasure of working with some amazing people and musicians. These include, but are not limited to:

Growler were an early version of 'Twist of Fate' who went on to gain an excellent reputation on the local rock circuit. This version of the band wrote and played original material and after extensive rehearsals, only ever played one gig at Bradford Rios way back in 1994!!!

Growler were:

Mark East (RIP): I recorded his album alongside my good friend Lawrence Baldwin. Incredible guitar player but unfortunately the recordings were of limited quality and rushed due to Mark's hetitleh issues. Sadly Mark passed away and I never heard the final produced result but I went on to re-record a couple of the tracks with Andy Audsley, Steve Nunns, Lincoln J Roth and Donna Thompson. I always felt the songs were too good not to be heard and I think we did a great job bringing them back to life.

L.T.D. (Livin' the Dream) were a relatively short-lived off-shoot of Black Tiger following their spit. Andy Audlsey formed his own band 'Barracuda' along with Steve Nunns and Donna Thompson. L.T.D. played a good number of gigs before disbanding. This is the only band where I did backing vocals.

LTD were:

Janie Jones and Jim Lantsbery: I Played a few gigs alongside 'King' (Love and Pride) guitarist Jim Lantsbery and his partner Janie Jones as well as Tim Wybrow on a 'Pretenders/Fleetwood Mac' tribute that never saw the light of day.

Dr.Fondle: After the demise of Under lock & Key/Coup De Grace, Andy Myers went on to write an EP's worth of material 'This Might Hurt a Little!' and went on to record this alongside my long-time friend and Andy's cousin, Mickey Dale. The band performed a couple of times and the song 'Little Toys' was a regular opener for one of Andy's later bands, 'The Good Biscuits'.

Depping: I have had the pleasure of depping for many bands including Empress (where I first met good friends Steve Nunns and Rich Dunstan), The Chris Berry Band, Lads From Macc, Breakout, Hooson McGuire, Aftershock, FOG, Black Tiger, Stitleworks and Dave Shorten's (RIP) Fiery Jack. I am sure there are others too...
